Night Shop premieres new song “The Ship Has Sailed,” on tour with Waxahatchee next month

Night Shop, the solo project of the former Kevin Morby band/The Babies drummer Justin Sullivan, released the second single from his forthcoming debut album In The Break today. The slow-burning “The Ship Has Sailed” premiered on Flood, who called it “a ballad that questions the finitude of love over soothing guitar licks.”

“The Ship Has Sailed” follows the previously released single “The One I Love,” hailed by Pitchfork as “one of the most addictive folk-rock hooks you’ll hear this year.”

In The Break is out September 14 on Woodsist/Mare Records. It features contributions from Mare labelmate Anna St. Louis, Meg Duffy of Hand Habits, Greta Morgan of Springtime Carnivore, and Jarvis Taveniere of Woods and is available for pre-order on digital and vinyl now.
