Hi Charlotte, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Hey! Ive been great thanks working hard!

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “You Got It”?

You Got It is a feel good girl power Summer track, featuring Tanya Lacey, its fun, instantly puts a smile on your face & makes ya wanna dance! Im really proud of this one its a banger!

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

This song is about a girl meeting a guy and him being everything she’s ever dreamt of and she wants him so bad , it was inspired by something that happened to me, thats all the info im giving you haha.

How was the filming process and experience behind the video?

The Music Video was shot in LA my favourite place, directed by myself and features us on a crazy day out at Venice Beach and Melrose Avenue. I wanted the video to be about a girls day out in LA, having fun in the sun, something to make the viewer smile with a summer vibe. All my videos i try and add a fun, bright theme to them, they are never dull!

How was the recording and writing process?

The track was written in the uk , at my studio in London with myself and some of my co-writers who included Tanya also, always a good vibe with my team they are super talented and fun!

What was it like to work with Tanya Lacey and how did that relationship develop?

Myself and Tanya met on a live show in 2017 and instantly hit it off, since then they have been writing in the studio, travelling the UK doing shows together with Tanya hosting my DJ sets, we get on really well and have a great chemistry watch this space for more music from us coming soon!

How much did she get to influence the song?

Tanya had a big influence on the song especially her parts.

Do you tend to take a different approach when you are collaborating with someone else rather than in your own?

I do alot collaborations, what i usually do is make a track write my parts and then find the right artist for it, with this particular track Tanya’s part was written first then i wrote my parts afterwards to compliment the singing hook. It all depends on the track and how it comes together.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

I have loads more new music coming this year all dropping on my label Karma London Records, its sounding dope and cant wait to let everyone hear it!

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

You Got It will be available worldwide on 27 July go get it!

Any plans to hit the road?

I have several shows planned this summer and beyond with more to be announced , keep an eye on my social media for more info.

What else is happening next in Charlotte Devaney’s world?

Im working hard on my music, as well as collaborations with some big brands and artists, also im busy running my label Karma London Records.
