Buzzing Country Artist Willie Jones Unveils Road Waves Acoustic Mixtape Today

Buzzing Louisiana-born country singer and songwriter, Willie Jones releases his anxiously awaited acoustic mixtape, Road Waves today across all digital retailers and streaming platforms via 4 Sound / Empire.

With his smoky sense of soul, gruff lyricism, and timeless Southern charm, the singer/songwriter brings raw heart to country music over the course of five emotionally-charged anthems rife with backwoods spirit and bluesy gusto. The lead single “Windows Down” offers a glimpse at his narrative style, instrumental acumen, and pure vocal power.

Of the mixtape, Jones says “Road Waves is a soulful, feel good, fresh take on country music and the soundtrack to my life. I touch on love, family, boozin’ and heart break. These are things I feel that we all can connect to in someway. The overall message of Road Waves is owning who you are. In my book, if you can have a staring contest with yourself in the mirror and win, you’re living right.”

The mixtape follows the success of his debut single “Runs In Our Blood.” A different kind of all-American anthem, the video immediately resonated across communities, generating over 600K views on in less than one day. Of the track, The Boot claimed, “Willie Jones breaks the country music mold on many levels as a fresh new face in the industry.”

Representing another side of country music and giving the African American a voice in the genre, Willie Jones initially made waves at just 17-years-old on X Factor. He has quietly turned into phenomenon with 227K Instagram followers and a burgeoning fan base.

Road Waves Track Listing:
