Global streaming stars Aquilo today release five reworked versions of songs from their second album ii. The new versions of “Thin,” “Who Are You” and “Road Less Wandered” have been reworked by German Soundcloud star Lambert, Australia’s Anatole who most recently has worked with Lucy Rose, and SYML aka Brian Fennell, front-man of the American indie band Barcelona. There are also reworks of ‘Silent Movies’ and ‘I Lost A Bet’ by prolific duo Solomon Grey, who as well as composing a number of soundtracks for film and TV have released three EPs and two LPs of their own, and the composer Nico Casal. ii Reworks are available for purchase and streaming HERE.

The release comes ahead of the duo’s performance at Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco on August 12, and a show at The Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles on August 13.

Aquilo’s second album ii was released earlier this year in two parts, delighting fans across the world who have followed their progress since they were producing tracks in their bedrooms. The “mesmerising” (Sunday Times Culture) ii includes earlier singles “Thin” and “Seagull,” as well as “The Road Less Wandered’, a co-write with the “super-talented” (NME) Bruno Major who also joins Aquilo to play guitar on the track. Aquilo also released a Live EP earlier this year, featuring acoustic versions “Thin,” “Now & Here,” “Seagull’ and “Six Feet Over Ground” recorded live from Rak Studios.
