HUME Releases ‘Alexandria’

Following on from his recent, critically-acclaimed releases ‘Real Close’ and ‘Zero Movement’ Buckinghamshire’s HUME comes through with a gorgeous, sensual new offering ‘Alexandria’. Listen here

Again showcasing the kind of natural songwriting talent and instrumental prowess that has steadily garnered praise from across the tastemaker spectrum incl.

With the kind of future-R&B, soft electronica interlacing with minimal percussion will continue to conjure relevant comparisons to the rich sounds of Sango or Alxndr London, it’s the effortless intensity and charisma that defines HUME against the backdrop of an increasingly vibrant UK scene right now.

Speaking on the track, HUME states: “It’s an address to a girl I was with, an analysis of the uncomfortable moment I was in when she decided to suddenly end it. As we were both coming down lying in bed, I was seeing this bond I thought we shared completely fall apart – it was just really out of touch all of a sudden.”

This is another marker of the emerging artist’s ambition and production nous – a slow jam that burns and smoulders with a delicate intensity that cements the kind of technical craftsmanship that should see HUME prick up significant ears both sides of the Atlantic. A serious emerging talent that continues to impress.
