Chicago-based singer/songwriter Appleby has released the video for his song “Young Love Lost”. Watch and share “Young Love Lost” here.

“I’ve always felt like I replay parts of my life on loop, especially relationships and that feeling became the inspiration for Young Lost Love,” Appleby tells Tidal. “With the video I wanted to explore how hard it can be to escape those memories. Good or bad. And how running away sometimes feels like your only option.”

Equal parts rock and soul, Appleby has cemented himself into the minds of all of his listeners with the catchy chorus of his latest and greatest release, “Lady Sunshine.” Using his microphone as an outlet for his sorrow after the end of his tennis career, Appleby maintains the emotional aspect of his music by taking us on his life’s journey through his music with impeccable vocals and an eye for crisp production. Appleby gained fast traction on singles like “Bitter Boy” and collaborative tracks with Ravyn Lenae and Litany through honest lines and hypnotic harmonies. With a desire to progress and maintain cohesion, he began working directly with producer Elias Abid, the two releasing the EP Down Dance.

Now with a face made visible, the Chicago daydreamer continues to blossom. Having recently released the single “Pages” and with plenty of others on the way to soundtrack sunny days and midnight cruises, Appleby is already eyeing what’s next. In an eternal search of self-discovery and happiness, Appleby’s unique journey takes us to where he is today. “Sunshine, sunshine, sunshine.”

“Young Love Lost” appears on his forthcoming 7 song EP + Happiness, out July 20 via Haight, co-founded Patrick Corcoran (Chance The Rapper), Michael Ahern and Eric Montanez.
