Secret Rendezvous Release For Real. (The Remixes)

Secret Rendezvous are an Amsterdam based duo, consisting of vocalist Sietske Morsch and producer Remi Lauw. The pair met during their studies of Pop music at the Conservatory in Rotterdam and formed the band after graduating. While their sound is distinctly Alternative R&B, the band are influenced by a variety of artists, including Prince, The Weeknd, Janet Jackson and Frank Ocean.

After bonding from their studies and mutual love for music, Secret Rendezvous began writing and released their debut album ‘Paint The Town Red’ in 2011. The album was well received by blogs and media worldwide. The self-titled song ‘Secret Rendezvous‘ was chosen by Coldplay for the Hypnofeed “Song of the Day” and reached over 300,000 plays on Spotify. After a string of successful singles on the lead up to the album’s release, For Real. was met with similar acclaim after it’s release in September 2017, which saw them compound their unique sound and step further into the fore.

Out now, it is a myriad of stellar remixes that bring extra dimensions to the album via For Real. (The Remixes). The duo chose to shed more light on the thriving music scene in the Netherlands by pulling focus to up-and-coming Dutch producers with this release including artists Sexy Bedroom, Moods, Mitchell Yard and Paquito.

Genre defying producer Mitchell Yard, who’s known for his crisp and forward thinking Hip Hop influenced production, adds his flavour to the track by taking a simplified approach. By fusing elements of Future Bass and Reggaeton to the mix whilst still retaining the vocals impact, it’s clear to see why Yard’s previous work garnered attention of international tastemakers Hypebeats Music, Complex, Earmilk and many more.
