Following their explosive debut ‘WYSX’ last month, rappers Jambo Unchained and Master Fado, together known as Para Fiction, come blazing back with their thrilling new offering ‘Wavy Days’. Watch here
Both gigged heavily in punk bands when they were 16 around Brighton, so were both accustomed to the oversaturated music scene. “As my mate once said ”Brighton is the Bermuda Triangle of wave”. People come here and get lost and dragged under, scraping along the seabed. Wavey Days is our personal testament to what happens when you’re exposed to a city where the only real thing to do to is roam around as meaningless rouges. Our current generation is built on irony. Music is an endless cycle of counter cultures and trends – the 70s has punk and the late millennials have memes. Memes are the main expression of today’s problems, yet at the same time completely meaningless. This relates to our philosophy and music, disassociation and misanthropy and anti-establishmentarianism. Jambo and Fado are currently in the middle of all this. Pray for para.”
Continuing to cement themselves as one of the sharpest and interesting acts coming through this year, ‘Wavy Days’ is drudging, melodic and as innovative as you’d expect from such young minds. From the depths of the Brighton punk and hiphop scene, Para Fiction are looking like they’re going to be making a lot more waves off the back of this new track.
