PREMIERE: LUNA Releases New Single “Try Again”

Keeping up with our premiere week, we are teaming up with 20-year old Charlotte Samady aka LUNA who is breaking through the industry with her infectious debut single “Try Again.”

Luna describes her debut single Try Again’ (produced by Paul Aiden) as being about the time her drink was spiked. ‘The song is full of confusion, feeling and resentment. It’s based on a time I got my drink spiked at a party I  was trying to host, and everything kept unravelling at the seams. It’s a song full of anxiety, which is something I love to subtly discuss in my music’

Growing up around the London music scene, Luna began writing as a child while self-teaching guitar. She is currently studying at the London School of Economics, but previously interned at Young Turks for several months, which opened her eyes to more electronic music. An avid gig goer and music lover, her stint as an intern was unpaid so she worked on the bar at 02 Shepherds Bush Empire, ‘I love watching live music, so thought it was the perfect side job!’ Later influence from ticketing start-up Dice immersed Luna in pop after growing up on folk artists like Bob Dylan and Laura Marling.

Luna confesses to struggling with anxiety and tries to embed her experiences with this into her music, describing herself as “ridiculously passionate about mental health and psychology” and commenting that her lyrics are largely “inspired by these emotive stories relating to personal experiences”.
