Paul Thomson of the band said of the remixes: On this release we asked 3 very different remixers for their interpretation of ‘Always Ascending’, most of them chose to use the constantly rising Shepard Tone but that’s about all they have in common. Trusted Parisian party-starters Cassius go for a carnival-esque rammy while over the course of Nina Kraviz’s 3 (!!!) mixes she tears deeper into the upside down, finding the darkest corner of the track and leaving you there.

Additionally, having completed a run of sold-out shows in the US and most recently played a celebratory homecoming slot at Glasgow’s TRNSMT festival, the band continue to play festivals across the summer including Lollapolooza in Chicago next month. Check out full tour details below.

The album, Always Ascendingwas recorded at RAK Studios in London and Motorbass in Paris, with the help of French producer extraordinaire Philippe Zdar (Cassius, Phoenix, The Beastie Boys). Nothing short of a rebirth, the album’s 10 songs are a triumphant recasting of the group, bursting with fresh ideas and vigorous sonic experimentation.
