WITHOUT RELEASES SMOLDERING ALTERNATIVE R&B/ELECTRONIC SINGLE, “TALKING BOUT ME,” FT. EMPARA MI

UK-based production duo WITHOUT have teamed up with British/ Irish choral pop singer Empara Mi, for their latest single, “Talking Bout Me,” (listen here). The song builds up slowly and then flows into deep electronic elements with an R&B-tinged production that perfectly compliments Empara Mi’s haunting vocals.

“Talking Bout Me,” a track which has been almost two years in the making, symbolizes WITHOUT’s creative growth as artists. “We started writing ‘Talking Bout Me’ about two years ago at a time where it just felt right to start pulling our sound and songwriting in different directions,” says the duo.

WITHOUT knew that “Talking Bout Me” wouldn’t be complete without some feminine energy, and approached critically-acclaimed up-and-comer Empara Mi about the project. Empara Mi was drawn to the track because of its powerful message, and turned around her vocals within 24 hours. “Its something completely different from anything I’ve done but it still feels empowered and anthemic which is a theme I always try and keep in my own music,” says the artist. “I like the way the song voices that frustration but equally that quiet confidence I think people feel when they believe in what they are doing. ‘You should be talking bout me, you will be talking bout me’. And I know people will be talking about them [WITHOUT] so there no irony lost there, either!”

“Talking Bout Me” is out now on The Peace.
