LA-based four-piece Fime are premiering a new music video for their latest single “Hover Hand” from their upcoming EP ‘Outside.’ With a sound that has been compared to Pavement and Weezer, the four track EP thematically explores feeling stuck on the outside, disconnected or isolated from others.
Self-produced and engineered by drummer Eric Promani, “Hover Hand” reflects a more mature, emo-reminiscent sound from the band from their previous 2016 demo, “Dining.” Brakmo (guitar/vocals), who shot the video on Super 8 film, believes the medium “captures the warmth of color” and “in its imperfection illuminates the vulnerability of the song,” which he describes as about a communication breakdown with his father and lacking a mutual understanding. The self-made music video is an ideal pairing for the self-produced single and EP.
