SPENCER LUDWIG Premieres “Deep Summer Mix (Feat. My Trumpet)”

Spencer Ludwig just dropped his very first mixtape, Deep Summer Mix (Feat. My Trumpet), just in time to kick off the summer!  CLICK HERE to listen to the full mixtape, premiered on This Song Slapswhich is comprised of dance-driven house tracks flourished with wild trumpet solos and is a taste of Spencer’s unique hybrid DJ/trumpet stylings that has been getting the crowds going at his shows. This infectious summer mix consisting of both old and new house tracks are sure to turn your late nights into early mornings.

Deep Summer Mix (Feat. My Trumpet) follows the release of Spencer’s dance-driven singles, “My Trumpet” (CLICK HERE) which features award-winning, Latin rapper MC Davo and “Just Wanna Dance” (CLICK HERE),which ushered in the next phase of Spencer’s career as an independent artist. The track, which is all about shedding the pressures of a hyper-plugged-in world, quickly surpassed 100,000 streams on Spotify.

 “I want to give an edge to the trumpet in pop music like no one ever has,” said Spencer about his musical ethos. “I’m not a trumpeter that writes songs though; I’m an artist who also plays the trumpet.”

Spencer is already primed for a big 2018. YouTube chose him as one of ten acts for its prestigious “Artists In Residence” program. He kicked off the year opening for The Chainsmokers and Jason Derulo, and just wrapped up a tour with Betty Who that captivated audiences with his “one man show” and simmering dance moves. Spencer also wowed audiences at the iHeart Radio x Movie Pass event this year at Coachella as well as performing at the 2018 NFL Draft and Bonnaroo.

Since immediately emerging as an artist to watch in 2016, Spencer’s twist on modern funk and pop has earned him major attention and glowing praise. His first single “Diggy” (CLICK HERE) racked up over 2.5 million Spotify streams, sound tracked a “Fall Style” campaign for Target and was featured prominently in the blockbuster film Happy Death Day, the popular video game Just Dance 18, and promos for NBC’s The Voice.

His 2017 single “Got Me Like“, (CLICK HERE), gained popularity by gracing the soundtrack of Madden 18in addition to popping up in an Herbal Essences commercial and a spot for the NFL Honors, for which Spencer served as musical director two years in a row.
