Team Picture Share video for ‘EVE’

The 6 Music-supported sextet here re-work the audio of ‘EVE’, a throbbing electronic cut initially composed by Leeds electronic trio, Laminate Pet Animal. Team Picture, who released the audio initially under their tongue-in-cheek alias, GROUP PHOTOGRAPH, spin their own take on the track, mucking about with what frontman Josh terms ‘the bleepy and bloopy’ sections to leave something quite haunting.

The video, directed by visual artist Theresa Steinmetz, looks to bring up and contribute to the conversation of mental health, looking at the lives of three women as they move through their morning routines – Steinmetz uses colour saturation, contrast and tempo of the shots to build tension, attempting to reflect the moods of the characters.

Team Picture released their debut mini-album, ‘Recital’, earlier this year – in addition they wrapped up their first headline UK tour (inc. a stop at Leeds’ Brudenell) and further shows at The Great Escape, Sound City, and Hit The North. This Thursday (July 5) they perform alongside Catholic Action and Thyla at The Old Blue Last before returning to the capital on July 27 to headline Camden Assembly Hall for Come Play With Me/War Child UK.
