Brazilian electronic artist Bruno Martini releases his debut EP ‘The Cure’ via AFTERCLUV / Universal today. The EP features five brand new tracks, including the lead single ‘The Cure’ – a collaboration between Bruno and fellow artists Olly Hence and Paul Aiden.
Bruno Martini has very quickly moved up the ranks in global electronic music, having achieved over half a billion Spotify streams, at the age of just 25. The producer, multi-instrumentalist and DJ made a mark with his first worldwide hit ‘Hear Me Now’, which broke all the records for a Brazilian production, and paved the way for the follow up singles ‘Sun Goes Down,’ Living on the Outside,’ ‘With me’ and ‘Savages’.
The success of his music led Bruno to the stage, where he has become an accomplished and in-demand DJ. This year, he will tour the world’s festivals and greatest clubs, taking in Mysteryland in the Netherlands, Parookaville in Germany, Hï Ibiza and EDC and Sensation in Mexico. Bruno also makes his first UK appearance at the prestigious Creamfields festival in August.
As well as performing around the world, 2018 has been a busy year for Bruno in the studio, working alongside Timbaland on his forthcoming debut album. The album will see a change in musical direction, showcasing a more pop-focussed sound.
Bruno says: “My work is eclectic, I like to try different ways of producing and making music, but the Dance audience was the first to embrace me. For that reason I made a point of gathering some tracks dedicated to this musical universe that I love too – and the result is ‘The Cure EP’”.
The cover of the single ‘The Cure’ and its accompanying lyric video were created by the award-winning Brazilian designer Gringo Cardia in partnership with the students of the social and educational project SPECTACULU / SCHOOL OF ART AND TECHNOLOGY, an institution in Rio de Janeiro which trains young people in situations of vulnerability, in professions which support the entertainment industry. The editing, acting, costumes and makeup in the lyric video are all the work of the students of this project.
