“‘Runaway’ is a bit of a personal song for me, for where I’m at in my life,” says Passenger, aka Brighton’s Mike Rosenberg. “It’s about not running away from everything. At some stage you should slow down, stop and enjoy where you are. My friend Ross played trumpet on the track, it sounds very Mexican, like Mariachi. I love how it’s come out.”

The video for ‘Runaway’, directed by longtime collaborator Jarrad Seng, was shot during a three-week road trip across the US earlier this year. ‘Runaway’ features Rosenberg running through a series of spectacular locations, including Death Valley and Monument Valley, Lombard Street in San Francisco, and New York’s High Line.

Also available to view now are the videos for Passenger’s current single, the Radio 2 Playlisted ‘Hell Or High Water’ – which has had over 7 million views on YouTube – and for sublime ‘Why I Can’t Change’, which is seeped in influences such as the Traveling Wilburys and early Fleetwood Mac. Both tracks are also available as instant grats with album pre-orders, along with album title track ‘Runaway’.

Passenger is one of the most successful UK artists of this decade, a streaming phenomenon who has had well in excess of a billion streams on Spotify. The video for his Ivor Novello Award-winning single ‘Let Her Go’ has been viewed almost two billion times. The single reached No.1 in 19 countries, with the accompanying album ‘All The Little Lights’ achieving platinum or multi-platinum status in 11 countries. Passenger’s 2016 album, ‘Young As The Morning Old As The Sea’ entered the UK charts at No.1, ahead of Bruce Springsteen, and the subsequent tour saw Rosenberg play his largest headline tour to date with a total audience of over 1.4 million across 29 countries, including playing to over 13,500 people at Amsterdam’s ZiggoDome.

Passenger will embark on an extensive world tour in support of the new album. The UK leg includes London’s Roundhouse on Sept 8th, which sold out in hours, and his dates in Manchester, Brighton, Birmingham, and Edinburgh are also sold-out. Following his headline set at Black Deer Festival last weekend, Passenger will appear at prestigious Festivals across Europe and North America this summer.

‘Runaway’ is released on CD, Vinyl LP and download with Deluxe 2CD, 2LP and Deluxe Digital formats available that include Live Acoustic versions of the album recorded across North America.
