MIDDLE KIDS Release Video for “Don’t Be Hiding”

Today, Middle Kids share the Mclean Stephenson-directed music video for the track “Don’t Be Hiding,” from their debut album Lost Friends out now via Domino. The band gives some background on the video:

“There are so many things we feel ashamed of and then so often hide. When hidden, it is easy to feel people don’t know us and if they did know us, they wouldn’t accept us. Don’t Be Hiding calls for us to be honest and brave in sharing who we are whilst learning to love ourselves and each other as imperfect yet cherished people. We made this video at Harry’s house. It’s relaxed and playful, like the song, as if to create a space to explore this idea of sharing and accepting.”

Middle Kids are wrapping up another North American run of shows tour this week, with a sold out show tonight in Los Angeles, followed by stops in San Francisco, Portland and Seattle. The tour kicked off with an impressive set at Governor’s Ball music festival and they’ve been packing rooms across the country since with additional sold out shows in Chicago, DC, Houston and Austin.

The band stopped by the Sirius XMU studio in New York to perform this exclusive cover of “Don’t Take The Money” by Bleachers. You can listen in full HERE.

Middle Kids created a special interactive feature Found Friends, a take on their album Lost Friends. Found Friends brings the charm of mixtape culture into the modern age by creatively utilizing Spotify’s technology to match fans, and their playlists, with each other wherever they may be.  You can check it out here –http://foundfriends.middlekidsmusic.com

“We made our album Lost Friends with the intention to help listeners further discover what is true and beautiful about the world and its people. To us, the phrase Lost Friends mourns lost connections but also reveres the very human desire for relationship. We are thankful for the bonds that music creates for us and want you to feel a little more connected by music, too.”

Check out Found Friends HERE, share a playlist, and find a friend.

Lost Friends is available via iTunes and Domino Mart.
