Following on from a 2017 full of epic dance tracks including Ghost and Deva, Ape Drums is back with Shellz a huge collaboration between rising hip-hop star Denzel Curry and Frizzo. Out now on Spinnin’ Records.

Shellz escalates into a riotous beat filled with throttling synths and colossal drums whilst Denzel Curry lends his hip-hop infusions with a ferocious yet thrilling vocal. A definite crowd pleaser, Ape Drums speaks on his excitement for the ultimate dance weapon:

“I wanted to bring back the rawness and the original big brass style banger. This style is timeless and if executed the right way, will always work for crowds. Excited to finally put this out!”

Ape Drums first came on the scene back in 2014 with break through track Bashment, introducing us to his trademark style that infuses dancehall with electronic music. Providing his unique sound to the masses, Ape Drums went on to remix the likes of Aluna George, Sean Paul and Yellow Claw whilst collaborating with some of the biggest names including Major Lazer and Lil Uzi Vert. Meanwhile fellow collaborator Denzel Curry has taken the hip-hop world by storm, breaking through back in 2015 with single Ultimate reaching 95 million streams whilst his most recent release Percs has already accumulated 1.3 million Spotify streams and counting. With such unmistakable forces on one release, expect Shellz to blow your mind.
