“Break Bread was inspired to me by my everyday struggle and just wanting more out of life. I wanted to flex and inspire on this song. I’m either talking ‘bout things I have or do or things I want to do. It didn’t take me long to make this song because every line was how I felt at that moment of recording, says Yuri. “Can’t break bread with a female who don’t do shit.”
Yuri continues building upon his newfound fame which started with the viral success of “Same Dude”. The track has reached more than 20 million streams to date. Earlier this year, the Long Island native sat down with XXL to chat about his inspirations, hip-hop goals and more. Additional songs the Long Island based rapper has released include “Everybody Be Like,” “Facey,” and “G-Star & Bape.” The resourceful rapper first gained traction in 2016 when his independently released “Same Dude” was embraced by some preteen fans who uploaded a video of themselves rapping along to the catchy track in their Aunt’s car. The song became a Facebook and Instagram sensation, and those fans were later featured in the official video for “Same Dude” as well as the “Facey” video.
