Compared to the likes of the Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes, The Bongo Club live and breathe being on the road. Their old-school commitment to rock’n’roll where music was felt and experienced live is undeniable having played Sound City in Liverpool and Camden Rocks Festival in London. They’re back in the UK this summer starting with shows in London, Sheffield, Birmingham, and Nottingham before touring heavily all over Europe again in the fall.

‘What You Want Us To Be’ is taken from the band’s debut album “Anybody Have A Lighter?” released earlier this year. With their first single ‘Seventeen’ mixed by Owen Morris (Oasis, The Verve, Ash) and ‘Tell Your Friends’ the track got picked up by Spotify (80,000 plays) and was charting in top 10 on Austrian and German radio stations, The Bongo Club are taking Europe by storm.

The video offers a sneak peek into what it’s like to see The Bongo Club live. The video is vibrant, showcases their explosive energy and takes one onto to the road with them. Snippets from everywhere including their hometown Borås, Berlin and Mexico City, the video gives the audience a taste of what they’re all about.

The Bongo Club explain:

“It’s one of our most melodic tunes so far and a real banger live! You can tell it gets the crowd going. The song’s about knowing what’s best for you but doing the opposite.”

For the band. it’s about entering the stage like a boxer enters the ring, leaving it 40 minutes later sweating, loving every minute. Touring is in their DNA and the video is a testament to it.
