After the release of her debut EP, “Left In Motion”, in September of 2017, Sydney Lauren is back with a brand new single, “Afterlife”. The song paints a story in a dream like state and provides sounds of mystery and a poignant, catchy melody. Listen here

According to Sydney Lauren the inspiration for the song was influenced by the Japanese animated film “Spirited Away”. Sydney says “I saw a lot of connection to the way we see our loves ones when they pass away. A shadow of them while trying to fall asleep at night, a trace of their favorite perfume when you’re missing them, or receiving no signs at all wondering where their souls have ended up. This song paints the picture of the world they move onto and poses the questions ‘Is this the afterlife? Are you alive inside?'”
