Australian born, Los Angeles based artist Mereki has shared a stellar new music video for “Got It All”; a track from her most recent EP release Beach.

In “Got It All”, Mereki takes the high road to daily trials and comparisons with a ‘mind-over-matter’ attitude in her resounding lyrics “I don’t need anything more. I know that I really got it all.” The video was crafted by up-and-coming filmmaker Dakota Light-Smith and features Mereki front-and-center amongst a purple hued art installation that reacts and flows to her presence like somewhat of a dreamscape throughout the song.

“I became obsessed with the color Lilac & asked Dakota Light-Smith (Artist/Design/Filmmaker/Genius) if she could build me a lilac room to dance around in,” said Mereki. “She did, as in, properly built it with her bare hands, painted it lilac and then covered the floor with water for me to play in. She then made an entire room full of lilac confetti & a mirror room for me to dance around in too. We buried me in the confetti at one point and I had just gotten back from Antarctica the day before and I remember thinking ‘yup, Got It All’. This song is about feeling shitty and reminding yourself, by finding deep gratitude for everything that you HAVE instead of focusing on what you don’t, that you really do have it all. Hope you like it as much as I do.”

Mereki, former front woman for Goldroom, has written songs for Kylie Minogue, A-Trak, Phantogram, Suki Waterhouse, among others, and has worked with Grammy-nominated superstar producer Ariel Rechtshaid (HAIM, Vampire Weekend, Madonna, Usher & Major Lazer). She’s also been a featured vocalist and co-writer on tracks with Dhani Harrison, Basenji, Dcup, HOLYCHILD, and more. Beach was released on Harrison’s label H.O.T. and mixed by multi-Grammy winner Paul Hicks (The Beatles, David Bowie, Depeche Mode).

Aside from music, Mereki spends a great deal of time buzzing around LA for her “Be Kind” platform which curates pop-ups that focus on kindness and creating spaces that give a voice to up-and-coming female artists. The ‘Be Kind’ motto is at the backbone of everything Mereki aims to be and be around.
