KATO REVEALS NEW TRACK ‘MOTIONS’

Following the massive success of his collaboration with Sigala ‘Show You Love’, platinum selling Danish producer KATO reveals his brand new single, the summer-ready anthem ‘Motions’. The track is released via Me Myself & ! on June 15. Listen here

‘Motions’ is a future-pop masterpiece, drenched in sunshine – right from it’s gentle opening notes, right through to the dancefloor destroying main refrain, the listener is transported to a tropical paradise.

KATO said: “In many ways, I feel ‘Motions’ is my best single in years. The break from releasing songs since ‘Show You Love’ has been a bit too long, but instead of just sending out whatever new song I come up with each month, I wanted to wait til I had something special; As soon as I cracked the theme for this single, I knew it was the one.”

KATO has achieved outstanding global success, starting with his breakthrough hit ‘Turn the Lights Off’. The track amassed over 15 million Spotify plays. The infectious hit paved the way for Kato’s debut album ‘Discolized’ and its follow-up ‘Discolized 2.0’. Both records showcase his cleverly-crafted sound. Last year, KATO teamed up with British producer Sigala to release ’Show You Love’ ft Hailee Steinfeld. To date, the track has generated more than 70 million streams, and has sold more than 450.000 singles across all platforms, while receiving airplay in almost every conceivable country worldwide.

KATO released a few selected remixes for other artists in 2017, including the debut single ‘The Weekend’, from the Swedish club act This Diamond Life, and an edit of the single ‘Deja Vu’ by the Danish/English producer duo Million Dollar Weekends.

‘Motions’ not only marks the Kato’s return to producing incredible original tracks, but also the start of a busy summer as he will be appearing live at several festivals over the coming months.
