I’ve been busy with many radio interviews, but still got time to make slime!
Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Unbeatable”?
It’s kinda like the story of my life of trying rise to the top, which I hope will inspire others, especially young girls.
Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?
Actually, Michael Jay wrote the song, but I fell in love with it as soon as I heard it!
Any plans to release a video for the single?
Yeah! We actually filmed it recently, so stay tuned!
How was the recording process?
It was really fun working with a top producer, like Michael Jay. Even better, we got to write a song together!
What role does Queensland play in your writing?
Queensland is about beaches and sun, which will be featured in my next single!
Does your background in Theater play a role in your music?
Mostly! Theater gave me the confidence to perform in front large audiences and to feel relaxed on stage
Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?
I recently recorded five songs in LA with two different producers and I love them all. I’m looking forward to releasing them over the coming months, including a very special Christmas song. Stay Tuned!
Any tentative release date or title in mind?
My new release will be “Island Holiday” in late June. It’s a really fun song about the summer holiday feeling of surf and sand.
Any plans to hit the road?
Getting ready to go to LA and New York for publicity and fun. In New York, I will spend some time at IMTA Conference, which I’m told is the largest gathering in the world of talent agents, managers and casting directors. It seems like it’s a good place to be!
What else is happening next in Izellah’s world?
Well, umm… actually catching up with my school work since I had 18 months off school when I played Matilda! Schoolwork is not as much fun as being on stage or on an “Island Holiday”!
