Super Whatevr has announced an upcoming co-headline west coast tour with King Shelter and Beach Goons. Support will come from Elder Brother on select dates. The Happy To Be Here tour will kick off on August 15th at The Rebel Lounge in Phoenix, AZ.
In addition, the band has released an acoustic version of their song “Kathrin with a K”, which can be streamed now through Spotify,Apple Music or purchased on iTunes. The original version of the song can be found on Super Whatevr‘s debut album Never Nothing, which was released January 19th through Hopeless Records.
The band just finished up a massive tour with SUM 41, supporting the ‘Does This Look Infected’ 15 Year Anniversary and was recently announced in the initial line up for 2018’s Riot Fest, which will take place Friday, September 14 through Sunday, September 16 in Chicago, IL.
The project of McKee, Super Whatevr began as a vehicle for his poetry, when he started studying the craft of songwriting with the help of a friend and penning songs of his own. While the songs come from a dark place, they’re a reflection of a glimmer of hope amidst life’s struggles.
Earlier this year, Super Whatevr released the official music video for their song “Telelelevision“. The video was animated by Eat The Danger, who has done the videos for “Lisbon” by Wolf Alice and Courtney Barnett’s “Dead Fox”.
Never Nothing is out now.
