Prabowo Dwiananto, better known as Danto, has remained in love with performing for as long as he can remember. Hailing from Jakarta, Indonesia, he is an actor, singer, songwriter, screenwriter, dancer, and aspiring author. Danto is very passionate about show business and pop culture, both artistically and commercially.
Danto’s theatrical debut came at the age of seventeen as the leading role of Puck in a production of the Shakespeare comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the legendary Taman Ismail Marzuki in Jakarta, Indonesia. Since relocating to Los Angeles, CA, Danto has immersed himself in a range of projects including films, music videos, as well as concert and sketch comedy performances, establishing himself in the field of entertainment in the United States. He made his screen debut as a dancer in the musical short film Smile: A Musical, directed by Sarah Phillips. He later portrayed a high school bully named Taylor in the feature film Kiss My Ashes, slated for a 2018 release.
He is also going to appear in the upcoming Keith Hartman-directed feature film entitled You Should Meet My Son 2!, which tells the story of a newly engaged couple with overbearing family members. Danto will be playing the role of Greg, a witty, sarcastic teenager. The film is already set to be a part of multiple film festivals, such as My True Colors Arts Festival in Brooklyn, NY, Rio de Janeiro’s Festival de Gênero & Sexualidade no Cinema, OutFest Peru, and North Carolina Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.
His proudest career accomplishment is having been a part of the music video for John Legend and Chance the Rapper’s hit song “Penthouse Floor,” which raises awareness on political awareness as well as social justice. Being a Southeast Asian native, Danto is honored and elated to help spread the message in the form of music and visuals. He hopes to continue to internationally represent Southeast Asia and his beloved Indonesia in the entertainment industry.
