Pure Bathing Culture Announce Full Album Cover of The Blue Nile’s “Hats,” Share “Saturday Night” Featuring Ben Gibbard

Turntable Kitchen is thrilled to announce the next record in their SOUNDS DELICIOUS vinyl subscription series, Portland duo Pure Bathing Culture’s full album cover of Hats, the 1989 critically beloved sophomore album from Scotland synthpop band The Blue Nile. In an interview with Stereogum, Pure Bathing Culture’s Sarah Versprille explains the synchronicity they felt the first time they heard the album: “We became immediately obsessed with their world of nostalgia and longing and the way the songs were simultaneously extremely sad at times but also intensely romantic and modern. It made us feel like the music we wanted to make was validated in some way by the fact that their music had already existed in the universe.”

Pure Bathing Culture’s Hats is available now only via Turntable Kitchen’s SOUNDS DELICIOUS; it will be limited to 1000 copies and feature the below artwork; click here to purchase the record.
