Internationally acclaimed DJ and producer MK (Marc Kinchen) has teamed up with Chelsea U.K. football stars Thibaut Courtois, David Luiz andAntonio Rudiger to help capture sounds for his new single, using innovative sound technologies at Shepperton studios.
The esteemed house producer, whose previous single “17” (Area10/Ultra Music) has amassed more than 70 million Spotify streams, paired up with the 2018 FA Cup winners to record the sounds of balls being struck against various objects at the studio, utilizing a series of metal, plastic, and even water-based surfaces, to create rich samples that can be transformed into club-ready basslines.
“Beatball with Thibaut Courtois, David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger was an amazing experience. We used the players skills and my studio process to create the sounds and textures I wanted,” said MK. “Even just one sound can create a new track, so by layering it with drum sounds, it sounds very beat-heavy, and pretty dope! I hope you like it as much as we do”
“I want to hear it!” laughed German defender Antonio Rudiger. “I love to dance!”
“This is something new for us players,” added Chelsea‘s Brazilian centre-back David Luiz. “We all enjoyed working with somebody as talented as MK. I hope this song is going to be amazing and everyone can dance to it.”
The iconic DJ, who has taken his Area10 event brand worldwide, can been seen hitting at a number of major U.S. festivals such as Electric Forest,Global Dance and Imagine Festival.
