Emily Hackett debuted her brand new single “Good Intentions” at CMA Fest’s Radio Disney Country Stage yesterday. After opening the set with the witty single, Emily treated the crowd at Fan Fair X with two unreleased tracks – “Josie”, and the stringed quartet backed ballad “Once In A While“. She closed the show with the fan-favorite reprise version of “Nostalgia“.
Additionally, Emily performed the single at AJ’s Good Time bar on Saturday, alongside fellow songwriters Ben Danaher, Hailey Whitters and Jon Byrd.
This song is unique for me because it’s not just my story,” Emily expressed in a recent interview with Paste. “I pulled real-life snippets from a bunch of my friends. One used to get their car towed from the bar all the time, one kept swearing off boys but still flirting her way through life, one has definitely had some serious retail therapy. It’s a little bit of everyone because that’s the idea – we all have good intentions.”
