Can you talk to us more about your latest single “What We’ll Get Into”?
“What We’ll Get Into” was such a fun song to record! It’s all about young love and what I like to call the “honeymoon phase”. It’s all about that time in a relationship when you’re first starting to get to know someone. The couple in this story is in that moment and it’s chaotic and fun, just like the song itself.
Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?
I wrote this song about a girl I was in love with. The start of our relationship was just like the song!
How was the filming process and experience behind the video?
We never shot a video for this track but we do have a video coming out soon for our new song “Happy Hour.”
How was the recording and writing process?
It was a blast. The guitar lick set the pace for the entire track and the lyrics just followed. I give huge props to my producer Sandy Chila on how he built the track and my other co-writers Alex Dezen and Michael Fitzgerald on how they helped guide the story!
What role does Nashville play in your writing?
There are so many great writers in this town that with every write there’s a new story to tell in a unique way. With every writer I work with, they bring something new to the table and it’s fun to see what’s created. I’ve been pretty lucky, not only are the people I work with incredibly talented writers, but they are also fantastic human beings.
Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?
It sure does! We just released our latest track “Happy Hour.” We recorded this song over two years ago and it’s one that we’re all very proud of. We have a super fun video being released on June 11th that I am so excited to share with you all.
Is there any tentative release date or title in mind?
Right now, we are busy promoting these two singles! There will be a new record out before the end of the year but unfortunately, I do not have a firm release date.
Any plans to hit the road?
You bet! We’re playing Nashville for CMA fest during the second week of June and then we’re moving into some Western Canada shows throughout July and August. We’re also in the process of booking shows in the US so make sure you follow my social media accounts to stay on track!
What else is happening next in Cole Bradley’s world?
Between releasing new music and playing shows, it’s looking to be a busy summer with the band. We’re stoked for people to hear our new songs and to make some new fans along the way. 2018 is going to be a blast!
