VON GREY have released their self-directed and produced music video for “Plans” on Popmatters, who called the song “a tune that seems destined for a slot on plenty of summer playlists, solidifies the sisters’ unique place in the contemporary musical climate.” The new single, which previously premiered on Billboard, represents the first release from In Bloom: Acoustic, a new, self-produced, six song EP set for release on July 20, 2018 – WATCH HERE.
“Plans is about transition and growth,” Fiona Von Grey told Popmatters, regarding the new video. “We wanted the video to capture our growth as artists and individuals in as unstaged a way as possible. We’ve always documented our lives in small ways, and the Plans video is a quick, intimate snapshot of our past few years. We’ve been in and out of studios, we’ve been intermittently in school, we’ve collaborated with some stunningly talented individuals, and we’ve changed a lot. This video is a little keepsake for us – a little memory saver.”
The new release will include three new songs, starting with the pensive new single “Plans” and a pair of yet to be announced new singles, “Dawn” and “Unclean.” In Bloom: Acousticwill also feature reimagined versions of “6 AM,” “Poison in the Water,” and “Closer To You,” which originally appeared on the band’s previous release Trinity.
VON GREY will celebrate their new release with a pair of hometown shows at Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta, GA in June. Tickets for all dates can be found here: https://www.vongreymusic.com/tour.

Despite their young age, (Kathryn 23, Annika 22, and Fiona 20), the classically trained sisters, are old souls when it comes to understanding how music works. Since entering the industry in 2011, the band has played +500 shows, The Late Show with David Lettermanand Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Bonnarooand Austin City Limits Music Festival. In just their early 20’s, they’re seasoned vets.
The depth of their music reflects their experience. The lyrics, which are intentionally barbed and deliberately serrated, position VON GREY flawlessly as the resilient and imperious women that they are. Laced over their signature intermingled and elegant vocals, that power projects their passionate narratives of (song meanings) energetically over infectiously poignant and melancholy cellos, mandolins, violins and piercing drums.
