One of the most revered names in the world of J-Rock, [ALEXANDROS], took a step towards crossing over with North American audiences this week with the release of the video for their explosive new single “KABUTO”. The news comes alongside the announcement of the band’s headlining stadium show “VIP PARTY 2018” on August 16th and the news that a new album is forthcoming from the band this fall.
Masakazu Fukatsu, who directed the video for “KABUTO,” describes the concept as cool and ‘something unseen’. The whole video was shot in 6K camera with various cinematography, part of the video being played reversed and 360-degree angle bringing out zero-gravity-feeling. From the beginning to the end, it captures cool performance scenes of the band.
The single release also included the band’s first collaborative tracks “Hanuta” and “Follow Me.” “Hanauta” features emerging poet Tahi Saihate as a lyricist and renowned producer Takeshi Kobayashi as an arranger. “Follow Me” is a classic [ALEXANDROS] track that expresses the mindset of believing in yourself, which is used for International Professional University of Technology’s ad.
