Today, acclaimed singer-songwriter Brett Dennen has shared the awe-inspiring video for his hit single “Already Gone”. The video, directed by Craig Allen was created by the creative agency CALLEN. A branding think tank responsible for last years interactive music video for the song Stained Glass for Real Estate that recently was awarded two Webby Awards. The video features 80-year-old Vera, who has a vast bucket list to complete, but has yet to complete it because she’s been busy with life’s daily tasks and structure. Dennen then steps in and takes over Vera’s chores and duties so that she can check off her bucket list. She does everything from skydiving to streaking, with explosions, confetti, and more along the way.

“We did our own mini casting search / dream search and talked to different people about what their perfect day would be if they had the time available to do it, and why they couldn’t do it,” shared Dennen. “We chose Vera, because she had the craziest, most fun sounding ideas. The only thing holding her back was household chores, which I volunteered to do. This is a part of our year long campaign for spreading positivity. I think it’s important that we make the time to do the things we really want to do. It inspires more good things to come.”

Vera added, “The day I completed everything on my bucket list was one of the most fun and exciting days in my life. Skydiving was my favorite, to the last minute I was not sure that I would jump out the airplane but I did and cannot be more thrilled.”

“Already Gone” is currently playing at over 60 radio stations across the nation, rising to #4 on the AAA Building Chart and hitting over 550,000 streams in the US, reaching a total audience of over 19 million people to date.

The track comes from the EP Let’s…, released earlier this year on Downtown Records, and includes five tracks total produced by celebrated musician, songwriter and producer Dan Wilson, best known for his work with Adele, the Dixie Chicks and Semisonic.

‘Let’s…’ is Dennen’s overarching theme for his music, touring, and intentions in 2018. In describing the theme, he explained that he hopes to create an inclusive and positive space with his new music, bringing people together for the greater good — creating “somewhat of a party” environment where “people can work together for common goals.”

He continued, “The song “Already Gone” is about making a decision instead of sitting around and thinking about what to do. It puts me in a great mood. I imagine myself gliding down a mountain or running down an empty highway somewhere. Both have the feeling of release.”

Following the headlining Let’s… tour earlier this year, Dennen is now gearing up to join Jason Mraz as a special guest on the “Good Vibes” tour commencing July 25. For further details, dates and tickets, visit brettdennen.live.
