Wolfe Jackson is thrilled to announce the release of his debut EP Nobody Knows Me (Better Than You). The 7 song EP is an acoustic journey through Wolfe Jackson’s time in New York City. He croons about love, love lost, friendship, and companionship as he reflects on the people who have shaped him these past few years.
Most recently, Wolfe Jackson released his single “Comfort Love” to much acclaim. Premiered on CelebMix, who wrote, “the simplicity of the instrumentation reflects the message of the song itself and allows for Wolfe’s soothing vocals and emotional lyrics to shine.”
Wolfe Jackson also announced his record release show at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on Thursday, May31st. The show comes just after the release of Nobody Knows Me (Better Than You) EP and will feature him performing the EP in full and brand new, never released music.
Previously, Wolfe Jackson released his single “Photographs.” The piano driven song is perfectly fulfilled by Wolfe’s soulful, but tender, vocal and deeply personal lyricism. The track builds from a simple singer-songwriter tune to a gorgeous, full-fledged ballad, equipped with a string section and a dazzling falsetto moment from the emerging Americana artist.
The burgeoning songwriter recently made his way to Los Angeles by way of New York and London. Building his career in London, Wolfe began playing in a band with his brother and quickly found his footing in live music scene. There was something about connecting directly to fans and feeling their responsive energy that made it clear to him that he was meant to share his voice with the world.
On a trip to New York in 2014, Wolfe immediately fell in love the with city’s music scene and never turned back. He began working with Grammy and Academy Award winning producer Leo Sidran, Frans Mernick (A$AP Rocky, Mark Ronson), and Randy Ingram, the outcome were his most recent singles “Remedy” and, now, “Photographs.” This time in New York helped Wolfe find himself as a songwriter and exposed his inner voice within the Americana realm. He also performed live at venues across the city like Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, Mercury Lounge, and more.
Wolfe knew he wanted to bring the feel of live performance to his next release and that’s exactly what he’s done with his upcoming EP Nobody Knows Me (Better Than You) EP. Produced with Leo Sidran, the EP boasts all live recording – meaning no headphones, no tuning, no recording to click. They achieved a raw, honest performance and a sound that would be almost impossible to capture otherwise. Wolfe Jackson is thrilled to share Nobody Knows Me (Better Than You) EP and can’t wait to perform at the Hotel Cafe.
