French-American alt-pop musician and visual artist, CLARA-NOVA (moniker of Sydney Wayser), has announced the release of a new EP THE GOLDEN AGE with a stunning new single, “Electric” – listen via Atwood Magazinehere! Produced by Shawn Everett (Julian Casablancas, Alabama Shakes, John Legend, Lucius) and with artwork shot by CLARA-NOVA’s frequent collaborator, photographer Amber Canterbury, “Electric” takes CLARA-NOVA’s sparkling alt-pop sound to new heights with up-tempo rhythm and urgent vocals.
THE GOLDEN AGE is set for release July 27, 2018 via Kobalt Music Recordings, following CLARA-NOVA’s release this spring of THE IRON AGE EP.
“THE IRON AGE was my own personal lesson in strength and perseverance while this next chapter, THE GOLDEN AGE, is about hopefulness,” Wayser revealed. “As one door closes, dozens of other doors open in its place. I can’t wait to see what’s on the other side of them.”
In addition, Wayser has been preparing a photo installation tied to the EP titled IRON // GOLD, which will debut later this year at a multi-media show in her hometown of Los Angeles. The installation expands on CLARA-NVOA’s songwriting and lyrics in visual format, including collaborations with some of Wayser’s favorite Los Angeles photographers.
