Every now and then a new exciting music gem emerges, and Maximilian is definitely one that is already starting to make waves. The 19-year-old singer-songwriter is the latest music talent to rise from the depths of Scandinavia. From humble beginnings in Copenhagen, his journey has been shaped by leaving space for mistakes, life-changing lessons and the discovery of the ability to create your own fate.
It was at a Pink Floyd concert he attended with his father when he was 13 years old that Maximilian had an epiphany that he wanted to be on stage. From this moment, he has been finding his own voice in music, finding inspiration in artists like James Blake, Frank Ocean and London Grammar. It is his incredible spellbinding and velvet-like voice that has made an early impact. His lyrics come from a place of vulnerability and honesty, and he is not afraid to express emotions that sits a little deeper within.
Receiving amazing reaction and widespread online success, Maximillian has been teasing his audience with early single releases of ‘Higher’, ‘Feelings’, and ‘Strangers’. Now releasing another emotional track, ‘Hollow Days’, his stunningly smooth vocals bring an insight into the complexities of love. Continuing the haunting and ethereal sound of his previous releases, ‘Hollow Days’ is a reminder of what it feels like to miss someone and that deep wish of wanting to be back with them again. The songs set the tone for what is to come from this talented artist as he prepares to release his EP in autumn 2018.
“Hollow Days is about fighting your own mixed emotions and how you sometimes leave certain important parts of your life out – and then realize that living without it makes you hollow. This is a note to self – a reminder, not to give up on what I’ve got so easily.” – Maximillian
Maximilian hits you with honesty, authenticity and purpose. Currently spending all his time in recording studios perfecting his songs, he is getting ready to share his music with the world. With his uplifting spirit and core message, he is sure to make a global impression this year.
