THE WOMBATS Announce Their Fall 2018 North American Headline Tour

Today, British rockers The Wombats announced their Fall 2018 North American headline tour, kicking off this September – read exclusively on Paste Magazine here. The tour is in support of their new, Top 3 UK and Billboard 200 charting album BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE, out now via AWAL Recordings. The trio will also take the stage at Lollapalooza 2018 in August as well as open for Weezer and The Pixies on select US dates this summer. Tickets will be available for general on-sale this Friday, May 11.

BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE has racked up over 41 million Spotify streams, with lead single “Turn” sitting at #1 on SiriusXM’s Alt Nation for nine weeks after debuting as Annie Mac’s “Hottest Record In The World” on BBC Radio 1. Produced by Mark Crew (Bastille, Rag’n’Bone Man) and Catherine Marks (Wolf Alice), the album finds The Wombats pushing the boundaries of alt-pop innovation with a lush, ultramodern indie soundscape, irrepressible hooks and tragi-comic lyricism belied by a newfound maturity and moving emotional depth. The Wombats just completed a fully sold-out UK headline tour, finishing out with a sold-out London show at the 10,500 capacity venue Alexandra Palace.
