Fresh off the back of theirsupport slot with Marmozets,Burysound 2017 victoryandBBC Introducing premiere, one of the most excitingunsigned bands in the UK, Tundra, are set to release theirsecond EP ‘Life’s Beach’, April 27th.
Thesurf-punk triocomprised of bassist/vocalist Elliot Booth, guitarist/vocalist Caitlin Pegley and drummer Elliott Roger-Brown, return with their best work to date, hitting back with more progressive and expansive themes whilst experimenting with slower tracks. Not just one trick punk ponies, Tundra worked alongsiderising stars Gavin Macinally and George Perks (The Darkness, Black Peaks)on the production of ‘Life’s a Beach’, making it clear as to whyBBC Introducing and Radio 1 presenter Ollie Winibergwas“emotionally invested within 30 seconds”.Bassist Elliot Booth said: “We wrote a lot of the EP in the midst of a horrible winter, looking ahead to the summer. During the writing, we lost 2 friends in a car accident, so it has a sort of double meaning.”
Having only formed in 2016, Tundra have already made a name for themselves with theirBurySound music competition winning in 2017, festival slots atThe Cambridge Strawberry Fair, SwanFest and BNaturaland now their return with ‘Life’s a Beach’ dropping April 27th.
