Ortega evokes classic Western cinema in “Liberty” video

Earlier today (5.3), Lindi Ortega debuted the video for “Liberty.” Straight from Ortega’s “finely wrought spaghetti Western-influenced album” (SLATE), “Liberty” is the title track from the record and the video is nothing short of a Western-style film itself: youtu.be/BzzgYF1B7Xk

“I wanted to create a vibey throwback video that paid tribute to old western films but offered a more modern twist,” says Ortega. “It was important to me to include horses in the video because to me wild horses represent ultimate freedom and liberation, as well as physical strength and beauty.”

Ortega is currently on tour and will open for Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit this summer.
