BRAZILIAN GIRLS New Video for “Let’s Make Love” + U.S. Tour Kicks Off in NYC This Saturday

Brazilian Girls recently releasedtheir long-awaited fourth album Let’s Make Loveon Six Degrees Records, and kick off a weeklong U.S. tour in New York City this Saturday, May 5. Ahead of the tour, the band has shared a new video for the album’s title track, co -directed by Juan Gonz-who directed the album’s first video for “Pirates“-and frontwoman Sabina Sciubba. Watch the “Let’s Make Love” video now via Relix and here:

The video sees Sciubba driving through the desert in a Volkswagen with goggles on and singing, “Let’s make Love.” She notes that the video is “a snapshot of our collective behavior.” She adds, “The real world is beautiful, but we’re lazy. Soon even for the laziest amongst us, it becomes sickening. Look inside: A great bright light is in each one of us, imagine it, and it’s there, always. That light is happiness. Let’s make love.”

Formed in 2003, the group was born after the four members crossed paths at East Village club Nublu where they began playing the weekly, embracing a free-form ethos that helped shape their kaleidoscopic sound. Fast earning attention for their euphoric live show, Brazilian Girls released their self-titled debut in 2005 and sophomore album Talk to La Bomb in 2006. Let’s Make Love follows 2008’s Grammy-nominated New York City and came to life over the course of several years since the four band members are now scattered throughout the U.S. and Europe. They assembled when possible to write and record, piggybacking those sessions onto gigs in Istanbul and Madrid, Paris and New York.
