PREMIERE: Drea Marilyn Releases New Music Video For “Calgary”

Drea Marilyn captures the crippling emotional disconnect that exists at the end of a relationship in her new video for, “Calgary.” Shot in the hills of Los Angeles, the scenic landscape feels lonely and distant as she walks the streets alone in quiet reflection. The video paints a picture of the end of a relationship, with a house of cards crumbling to nothing to showcase the fragility of trust, and how the loss of that trust can shatter even the strongest foundation between two people. Drea and guest vocalist, Jonathan Lacayo, create a simmering, explosive chemistry both vocally and in their visual performance. It’s a heartbreaking representation of the end of things, despite the inclination in all of us to keep holding on and hoping for better things to come. Check out Drea Marilyn’s powerful video for “Calgary.”

“Writing Calgary was a dialogue I played out in my head when I was at wits end in a relationship.  I was constantly guessing myself. Writing Calgary was the cathartic because it was the conversation I wish I was brave enough to have.”
