Alice Phoebe Lou has released the new video, “Devil’s Sweetheart,” a collaboration with fellow Berlin-based musician, Olmo, who co-produced the track with Acid Pauli. Alice and Olmo met while busking on the streets, and crafted the song in less than an hour. They’ve continued to perform the song whenever their paths have crossed, including at this year’s SXSW, where Alice was highlighted as one of NPR’s All Songs Considered artists to watch. The video for “Devil’s Sweetheart” features performances by Valia Beauvieux & Dennis Macaofrom the Berlin based circus crew, Birdmilk Collective.
Alice and Olmo are part of The Baketown Collective, a community of artists brought together by artist and producer Noah Becker. After converting an old garage into a creative hub, including a recording studio, venue and art space, into a creative hub, Becker grew Baketown Collective into an imprint/label, via which the artists involved release music by their own rules. In addition to Alice and Olmo, Baketown Collective artists include Bakery, Hush Moss, James Hersey and Che Lingo, among others.
On Friday, April 13th, Alice and Olmo appeared as part of a collaborative immersive performance, “This Is Baketown,” at Zeiss Grand Planetarium in Berlin. The Baketown Collective performed songs merged with Alexander Schneider’s live visuals for a totally unique experience. Following this special performance, Alice is back on the road, with performances in Italy, Germany, Spain and more.
Alice Phoebe Lou is currently putting the finishing touches on a new album, and will be returning to the US for a late summer tour following her spring/summer international run. Olmo is recording a new EP in anticipation of an upcoming European tour with L.A. Salami.
