Indie electro-pop artist Laney Lynx has just released the title track from her upcoming Easy EP, which is planned for release this spring. “Easy” is a sparkling downtempo single with nostalgic lyrics and a feel-good beat. Produced by college friend and Berklee alumni Drew Ofthe Drew, the Easy EP is a definitive representation of Laney’s light-hearted nature and musical prowess.
Laney Lynx weaves a musical fabric threaded with lush harmonies, groovy bass lines and refreshing pop hooks. Currently based out of Brooklyn, the Rhode Island native and Berklee College of Music graduate creates an ethereal soundscape filled with blissful nostalgia, bittersweet lyrics and a dreamy vocal delivery. Her single “Love Sick” found commercial success in U.S. markets and the music video was featured in MTVu’s rotation on the show The Freshmen.
IN LANEY’S WORDS:
“The EP is about remembering the good times of an ended relationship and having the courage to be open to finding love again. ‘Easy’ is about coping with the flood of happy memories shared with an ex-love and how difficult it is to forget those lighthearted, carefree times post-breakup.”
