The Silver Bayonets Release New Album

The Silver Bayonets are a London-based indie-rock band formed in summer 2012 who fuse loud rock guitars with vocal harmonies and pop hooks to produce melodic, often anthemic, addictive power pop. Fronting the group on guitar and vocals is songwriter Kabir Sheikh, while bassist Ross Guy and drummer Enzo Cuticchia both add backing vocals. Tey have a modern DIY ethic, recording and releasing music through their own label, Header Records, and managing their own press campaigns and band promotion.

In autumn 2014, their demo tracks were playlisted by local radio stations across the UK. Tis led to recording sessions and live acoustic performances on a number of regional stations. Soon afterwards, they began work on their debut album.

“The Pain Inside Your Head” (HDRCD001) was recorded at London’s Alaska Studios and mastered at Masterdisk, NYC. “Schemes” (HDRSG001), the lead track, was Te Silver Bayonets’ frst single and released to positive reviews. In May, on the night of the album launch, a listening party was held at Te Barfy, London, followed a few hours later by a live set. A string of gigs was booked to promote the release.

Te album scored a host of glowing reviews. Tracks were picked up for airplay on traditional, terrestrial radio, internet radio and podcasts. Te band’s gigs also saw an increase in audience numbers.

A music video for the album track “Constant” was recorded in August 2015 and a live set was recorded for TV and broadcast across Europe in mid-2016. A second single, a remix of the track “Low” (HDRSG002) followed and its animated video received over 20,000 hits on YouTube.

New songs were added to the live set throughout 2017, and their second album was recorded at the end of the year. Dave Draper (The Wildhearts, The Professionals, Kerbdog) handled mixing and mastering duties, lending a polished sound to the recording. The album, “Braveface” (HDRCD002), was completed in January 2018 with a single, “Fake” released to press a few weeks later. “Braveface” will be released on 13 April 2018.
