The Shins have released the official video for “Heartworms (Flipped)” – watch HERE. The visual is a clip from the band’s short film The Worm’s Heart, which was directed by Shins drummer Jon Sortland. Check out the Amelia Earhart inspired video in its entirety HERE.

On Saturday, April 21 the band will release a split 12” for Record Store Day. It’s titled “Los Lobos vs. The Shins” and features three distinct versions of their song, “The Fear”: the heavy on the heartstrings rendition from buddy-band Los Lobos, the original booming, sweeping track from Heartworms, and finally, the kinetic flipped version from The Worm’s Heart. The “Los Lobos vs. The Shins” 12” will be available as a digital EP on April 24. Visit for more information.
