21-year old soul vocalist Mullally, unveils his new single Sweet Coffee featuring a stunning vocal offering from London songstress Bassette. Produced by P2J (Stormzy, Lily Allen, Yungen) Sweet Coffee displays the rising stars organic and powerful vocal ability positioning him as a true contender for 2018. Combining soft melodies and poignant harmonies, Mullally perfectly blends his inspirations from R&B, Pop and Soul, marrying them together to create a blissful all-encompassing sound.
Mullally says: “Sweet Coffee for me is exploring all the avenues of the analogy of someone being your ‘Sweet Coffee’. How someone can wake you up and keep you awake and excited all day. It’s referencing the addiction of new love and needing to go back to the same person every morning, every day, so that your ‘sweet coffee’ can wake you up. It’s youthful, it’s happy; it’s about young new love”
Having only stepped into a recording studio for the first time 3 years ago, when he took that leap of faith and moved to London from the small town of Gorleston in Norfolk, his nascent career has already began to shape up nicely. Mullally has combined talent, hustle and a relentless work ethic to achieve great things. He kick started his musical career by being the frontman and playing bass in a reggae/ska/punk band, which was successful enough to see him play over 40 festivals in a single summer at the age of only 16, leading to over 600 shows by the time he was 18. After graduating from Access to Music College, who’s alumni include Ed Sheeran and Rita Ora, Mullally’s solo career catapulted to an immediate high – collating over 9 million streams from the four tracks he has released to date; winning best solo male at the Unsigned Music Awards; making the final of the Unsung talent awards at the MOBO; and earning eclectic support from the like of Annie Mac, Huw Stephens, DJ Target and MTV.
The soul crooner has truly hit the ground running having already taken to some of the country’s leading stages including Glastonbury, Lovebox, and Reading/Leeds amongst many others. Whilst generating huge fan support on tour slots for incredible acts like Anne-Marie, Jess Glynne, RAYE and Clean Bandit to name a few.
