SCARLET SAILS Release New single “Hideaway”

Scarlet Sails, rock brainchild of Olya and Brian Viglione (Dresden DollsViolent  FemmesNine Inch Nails), are set to release Hideaway, their first new single since their 2017 LP Future From The Past. The album premiered on COS, garnering rave reviews from critics, helping the band build a loyal fan base across the U.S. and Europe. Listen HERE

Working with producer Ben Rice (Norah Jones, The Candles, Elliot & the Ghost), Scarlet Sails recorded Hideaway at Degraw Sound in Brooklyn, NY. Their new single is a rocker with a unique flavor; blending churning ukulele and acoustic guitars with a pounding rhythm section. Soaring guitars and plenty of ambience set the stage for Olya’s sultry vocals. “Hideaway” marks a promising start to the new year for the band who are set to headline NYM Music Fest at Proprietor’s Park, Gloucester City, NJ on June 23rd, before embarking on a European summer tour in July 2018.

When asked about the inspiration behind the song, Olya shared, “When you find someone to hold on to and to feel safe, you find that constant that allows you a second chance at life. It goes along with learning how to trust again and how to be present in the moment instead of disassociating with oneself to not experience any real feelings. In other words, realigning with yourself through love.”
