Hi Fredrik, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Hi there and thank you. I’ve been good and busy.

Lots of things going on at the moment!

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Kill Me Again”?

Of course! Killing me again is a pretty special song, if you listen to my previous work.
I wanted to do a song that mixed a bit of industrial rock/metal with a bit of a more pop-ish sound. Keeping the verse kind of low key to build up to a really catchy chorus.

Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?

It’s kind of cliché to be honest, but it’s about a bad break up that actually happened years ago.

But sometimes old memories come back to haunt you and basically that’s what inspired the lyrics for the song. The music itself just came on its own.

Any plans to release a music video for the single?

At this stage sadly no, I was planning on it but aim for a music video for the album instead.

A lyrics video is available even if it’s not the same as a “real” music video.

How was the recording and writing process?

Pretty fast and smooth. Sometimes you just write and can’t stop writing and the lyrics just fit so perfect with the song itself. This doesn’t happen often mind you, usually it’s about cutting and adapting and a lot of frustration lol.

What role does Sweden play in your music?

Sweden is my country and where I was born, grew up and live.

Everything that has happened in my life is an inspiration to my music.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new album – how’s that coming along?

Of course! It’s well under way and so far it’s all coming along nicely.

Not stressing because the last album was released I fall last year.

Trying to take my time and really make a great album!

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

Sadly no, it’s “when its done” and the working title is Resurrection, but I don’t think that will be the final name.

Any plans to hit the road?

Yes, currently i’m talking to promoters all over Europe and hopefully some shows will be announced soon, its a lot of work but I hope it will pay off in the end.

What else is happening next in CROONA’s world?

Besides living the adult life or work and sleep. My other band Cynical Existence is preparing for a few live shows this spring along with working on a new album.

And of course I’m working on my own new album, so basically a shit load of music!
