Chill-Hop/Pop recording artist Blythe Baines burst onto the scene with debut EP Games. The 5-track release is distributed exclusively through Priority Records.

Blythe Baines is ready to take the music industry by storm with her debut EP. After the immediate impact of her lead single “Stars” in late 2017, the San Francisco native teamed up with record producer Carter Soso to complete the project. “Stars” would make an immediate impact within the pop music scene. It appeared on multiple Spotify recommended playlists and garnered lots of radio airplay throughout the west coast.

The Full EP has received positive reviews from many music enthusiast. Z 90.7 FM compares her vocals on a track entitled, “Spoiled” to a mix between Lorde and Britney Spears. Albert Gilmore wrote, “My favorite song on Games is “Spoiled.” I haven’t felt the type of feeling that I have with any other song. It’s like my whole body gets goosebumps and my hair stands on its ends like I have horrible bed-head.”

According to Blythe, however, her personal music taste  isn’t pop. In a few interviews, she admits to being a fan of Tom Petty, Radiohead, and Bjork. Taking this all in stride, the singer told Twist Online that while she enjoys writing “ironic music,” she believes “life imitates art.” When speaking on her own music, Blythe Baines expresses the sincerity in her sound. “A main [goal of mine] is just to make the people who are listening to my music feel something. I want to release a full-length album someday soon.”

Newcomers to Blythe Baines’ sound and fans alike can stream her new EP Games now on Spotify. For more about Blythe Baines and the Games EP please refer to the social media links below.
