THE SHINS SHARE SHORT FILM THE WORM’S HEART

Today, The Shins have shared their short film titled The Worm’s Heart. Directed by Shins drummer Jon Sortland, the visual is set to select songs from the band’s flipped album (also titled The Worm’s Heart) and depicts James Mercer’s quest to solve the mysterious disappearance of Amelia Earhart. Watch HERE to see if Mercer is successful in his search.

The Shins released The Worm’s Heart, a complete rework of their 2017 acclaimed album Heartworms, earlier this year. On Saturday, April 21 the band will release a split 12” for Record Store Day. It’s titled “Los Lobos vs. The Shins” and features three distinct versions of their song, “The Fear”: the original booming, sweeping track from Heartworms; the kinetic flipped version from The Worm’s Heart; and the final rendition, heavy on the heartstrings, from buddy-band Los Lobos.
